You can tell its almost Fall

When:

You send your daughter to school in high water pants.

When you have to squeeze and shove and twist and turn your toddler's foot to get him into his sneaker.

When you have to send your son to school in a sweatshirt that is really way too small and when he raises his arms up the sweatshirt is pretty much up to his elbows.

Gotta love it! It really just reaffirms to me that all my local cooking over the summer really did the trick!

This afternoon my son and I went through his cold weather clothes from last year. There was ONE sweatshirt that still fit. Here I come Ebay with 7 pairs of long pants hardly worn.

LOL!! I have the same type of problem here. My kids are so tall, that you see their bellies and ankles in all their warmer clothes!

Henny Penny: Yep. We did that after school yesterday.

farm mom: Makes me feel good to know that they are growing big and strong...not as good for the pocketbook!

I am soooo jealous. Please send some of that cool weather here. I promise to return the favor and send some nice weather your way this winter...

I was in a panic when we were hit by these way-too-early frosts last week. DS only has one pair of jeans and a couple pairs of track pants that fit him yet. Thank goodness it warmed back up a little and I can send him to school in long shorts until my Old Navy order gets here with a couple pairs of new jeans for him.

I am so jealous you get to enjoy the fall weather. We live in a hot climate and I miss the crisp cool air.

sugarcreekfarm: Yeah, we have been given a little more time here, too. This week back in the 80,s. NOw maybe I can get a few things for them!

Katrine: I love the fall season...just comes up on me so fast and I forget that the the kids haven't worn any warm clothes since the past spring!
