Yayyy! Im so glad to see you!

I hope everyone was able to find their way okay. I really suck at giving directions. Mainly because I get lost half the time myself. Please jot me a note to let me know that you made it....I look forward to seeing all of you at my new place!

Everyday things

I usually dont let myself go this long without posting. Even if it just a reflection of a day or a gardening entry.

I have been so busy with trying to get the yard changed from a mud pit to a lush, green lawn...and then scrubbing down the little guy who seems to bring all the yard in with him!

I have been tending to the veggie garden and watching my tomatoes and cukes really take off.

I have had to take shelter in the basement a few times as tornadoes and hail and torrential downpours have managed to make it past my high tech anti tornado system. Otherwise known as me asking it to stay away and it not listening.

I have been traveling a bit and taking care of recuperating kids.

Of course, I have been out to see my wonderful llama friends. Who, I have to say steal my heart more and more each time I go out there. I had the chance to go out there and see them getting sheared, but I was not able to make it. Maybe another time. Cuz you know, when I am lucky enuf to get my own, its nice to have a little idea of how things are supposed to go. Im not saying they will go that way, but nice to know, right!

I have been shopping and shipping for my summer swap. I always have a fun time doing that. That one is over, but a new one is taking place. Try it out and see how much fun it is.

Oh, and lots of sesame street. I have been watching lots of that.

I have been reading all your blogs, just not posting on my own! Keep writing. I love to read them.

Wondering

Not that anyone out there is wondering where I have been....but I do want to apologize to my OLS buddies for not meeting my commitment of the one local meal a week program.

As some of you know, I had a date with the hospital several weeks back and I ended up experiencing some complications after the surgery. I got home and things took a nasty turn for the worse. After many meds and restless nights, I am hopeful that I am on the upward trend now!

I feel like I have been out of the loop forever. Please fill me in on what you have been up to. And everything exciting that I missed.

Flash, Flash, Flash

Gnightgirl has started a new project to support the troops. Please head over and check it out. If you find you are willing and able to help, please do. It will make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside and all over. How can you not want to do that?

My husband sent me this. Found it pretty interesting.

Link Loveage

or Passing on of the posts. Whichever you prefer.

I am going to be passing out the compliments, so, if you are not a good compliment taker...shape up!

OMSH---You have got to go by her blog and check it out. It is amazing. The latest posts about honoring the children and so forth have been just fabulous. Between the actual posts and the bajillion comments...head on over there, you'll see what I mean. It is real life. Everyday stuff. Fantastic.

Expat---Need a reason to eat better? This blog gives you several and let's you know how it can affect your kids. Good and Bad. Sharing the ideas of how coming back to the dinner table can improve your health and your life overall. Can I just say, thanks. And keep it going. I'm passing it on in the hopes that it will put the idea in one more person's head that eating as a family has a huge impact.

The Cleaner Plate Club---More good food ideas. And informative articles, to boot. And tons of step by step great recipes. That are tried and true. Let me start by saying, "Kale Chips"? Never, in a million, trillion years would I have ever thought of this or tried this until I saw it on your blog. The whole time I am fixing it I am saying to myself...the kids are never gonna eat this..they are gonna take one look at it and well, you get the picture! Low and behold, and yes, I can admit when I am wrong, they loved them. My littlest one couldn't get enuf of them. His face was green when he was done. Little kale chip crumbs...
Go ahead, check it out. You know you want to. Oh, and when you go, make sure you tell her I said "Hi."

I love it the Dove

Ever since Dove has come out with their new adds about "real beauty", I have to say that I had to change to their products after faithfully using Oil of Olay for many, many years.

I love the message they are putting out there. I love the fact that I can buy a product and feel good about the ideas that they support. Having a tween daughter at home myself, it is very important to me that she understands the truth behind the pretty pictures. I feel like it helps me to explain to her what a good image of self and beauty is. To have a product in your home that encourages young girls to question what is "real" in this world enables us to promote an open line of communication. I am all for that. Question away!

Way to go Dove. I support you!
