Naughty boys

That hay you see? Its the hay that the previous homeowner left behind. I have been storing it in one of the extra stalls. Thinking that when I get chickens in the spring I can put it in their run once they eat all the vegetation down....

Those goat boys you see? They snuck in there while I was cleaning out their stall. Niko and Kip made it all the way to the top of the bales. Finley, being the slower, more laid back of the group, well, he sorta just stayed in place for a minute. To see
how he should proceed. Not that that stopped him from snacking by any means.

But then Finley realized that what Niko and Kip were doing seemed like a good idea to him. I mean, Niko was kinda taunting him by continually looking down at him with big mouth fulls of hay. (Joey, however, did not think it was a good idea. He never once tried to climb up there.)

Hes trying to maneuver his way up there.

He manages to get some footing.

He made it. And is very happy with himself as he begins to indulge in even more snacking.

But, oh dear....that didnt last long. Now hes slipping.

and slipping. And Niko just watches. He doesnt even attempt to offer a hand.

Finley lets out a huge sigh in defeat when he realizes the harder he climbs...the faster he falls.

Goats always seem to find something that you didn't want them to do, and then perfect if.

I love this photo story. You captured them so good! Goats are so much fun. You just never know what they'll get into next.

JUst like Tardy. Show that boy a bale of hay, and he jumps up on top of it, sometimes sprawls like a frog, and munches on.

That's awesome and looks like tons of goat-fun!

Goats certainly find things to entertain themselves, huh? The good thing is, they're entertaining you as well. What is it about them that always has to play King of the Mountain?

Chai Chai: Isnt that the truth?

Brenda: I love the goat boys. They are so fun to watch. I could watch them for hours.

linda m: Thanks!

pollys path: It was so funny to watch them delight in the fact that they had all that hay to munch on. I think for a moment, a tiny moment, they were in shock that I was letting them stay up there!

warren: Thanks! We have a ton of fun here every single day!

CeeCee: Yeah, it doesnt take much to entertain them actually. But their antics crack me up all the time.

goatgirl: I think that you prolly gave them a talk before I came to get them. And reminded them to be as silly as they could and to not follow the rules...I bet thats what you did.

Sarah: Right? They cam leave big messes behind if they find super fun things like that to do. And I dunno....maybe you better go back and check !!! :-) I got my fourth little guy, Joey, in June. In fact, I got him from the same woman that I got Finley from. Its quite a funny story actually!

Ma: Yep. Thats pretty much it. Between them climbing on it and the llama girls making their way into that stall when nobody is looking...well, lets just say it doesnt look nearly as neat as it did. :-)

Naughty, indeed - and I'm quite certain this is just the start of it! :-)
Just wait until they're over 50 lbs each and you're trying to get them to stop doing something you don't want them to do. Experienced this personally yesterday. Flat.on.my.butt. With four of them, this should be extra special. lol

You now have 4 goats??? How did I miss that? Looks like the boys were having a great time at the expense of all your hard work neatly stacking the hay. Oh well, at least you got pictures and hopefully, a good laugh!
