In the kitchen

On cold and dreary days we like to bake. It makes us feel happy.

Laughing oh so hard right now...snort....second to the last picture: priceless! He is just the sweetest thing. I was noticing how tall he looks on that step stool - before too long, he'll be taller than you! (not that you're short or anything) :-)
I can't tell from the three cutie-pie faces at the end, though - was the recipe a success or does Toll House reign on as the ccc recipe of choice?

That photo with the cookie dough all over his face is priceless. There is nothing better than cooking with kids.

Ok, I need your definition of "help" !!!
To me it still looks like the poor little guy has to do ALL of the work!
Where were the other 2 during the "making" part of this story?
I see they were right there for the "EATING" part!!!
And rubbing the poor kid's face into the cookie dough was just wrong.
When he gets older and writes his first cookbook "Kitchen Slave", I want an autographed copy. ;) :0

So he may not be great at firewood stacking, but any guy who can bake makes my heart pitter pat.

country girl: Yeah, cold days are great for cooking and baking.

Danni: He totally had cookie dough up his nose. Yep. I took a snippet of a video while he was enjoying that beater...too funny. I have resigned myself to the fact that all my kids will be taller than me...its okay, really. Oh, and I love my mixer. I hear they make silver ones now. I bet those are very pretty.

cee cee: Hey, did you know they make green mixers?

Angie: Well, uh, I am so gonna win the short award tho. And you the tall one. We dont even need to enter the arm wrestling contest.

Mim: You were too soon...you missed them.

egghead: I love my helpers in the kitchen. He was going to town with that beater. He kept whacking his head with it, too. Those things can be a little dangerous. Just for future reference!

greywolf: Hey now, take it easy. The big kids were still at school...we were making them an after school snack! G loves to "help" me with all my tasks. How do you think my bathroom gets cleaned?

inadvertentfarmer: That pic seems to be getting rave reviews. I had to remove his shirt after that. He was a huge mess. But he had a great time. And so did I.

sugarcreekstuff: I know, right? Who needs firewood when you can have cookies and cakes and stuff....

Yup, I can just see it now...all your blogging pals will be over for a visit and we'll be out stacking your firewood while G. is in the kitchen baking us something yummy for afterwards! :-)

I still want a copy of his cook book. ;)

And tell G he is just too cute for his own good.

For a minute there I thought he was making...SCONES...then I saw the chocolate chips. I love those too. Very cute. My son used to love to cook and he still does. My gift to his future wife.
