The trip out west was a very long one. We had to drive a couple hours to get to the airport, then we had to venture into the security area with a family of five and a billion suitcases. This, of course allowed us to bypass the normal security lanes and meander over to "the family and special liquids" lane.....otherwise known as the "people who are gonna take a long time" lane. And that we did. We had bin after bin of coats and shoes and laptops and carry on bags. I have to say tho, that the people behind us were very patient and that made it so much easier.
G's first time on a plane. He was very excited and did a fantastic job.
So excited in fact, that by the time we made our connecting flight and were in the midst of the long leg...this is what happened.
We made it to Oregon...finally. The kids are more than tired as we wait for G's car seat to travel down the luggage line.
We arrive at Danni's tired and hungry. And I have to say that after all the travel and frenzied airports and rental car places......seeing Danni(and of course sweet Roxy) made it all worth it. And this. Something small to many, but so meaningful to me....it warms my heart.
Oh wait. I meant this. Seeing this.

Yeah, wow, you guys must not have eaten since last week. I'd never seen 5 people inhale bowls of cereal quite so fast in my life! :-)
Glad you're here....
It's really cool to read about your visit to Oregon on both yours and Danni's blogs. Even though I've never met either one of you in person, reading your blogs makes me feel like we have been friends for a really long time. I like it a lot.
Glad you made it safe and sound. Remember not to sign any disclosure papers this time.
I hope you all have a wonderful time and our weather holds for you...scratch that, just looked out the window, its raining...sorry!
Have a wonderful time anyway! Kim
Glad your family is enjoying beautiful Oregon. Does Danni have her tree up yet?
Note to Danni; You should have made SCONES.

Goatgirl: You SO did not just use the "I'm just sayin'" phrase!! If it wasn't clear to me before, it is now: you'd fit in very well around here. This is quite possibly the most frequently used phrase in the house this weekend, along with major discussions on appropriate use, differences in inflection and syllable stresses, etc. Who'da thought? :-)
Sooo glad the trip out went smoothly. I was worried G would be a bear after so much travel. Hope the return home goes as smoothly.

And I forgot to comment on how utterly cute your children are Marcee. But they still only got 7 comments and the boots are up to 11now.
