Just the beginning

The trip out west was a very long one. We had to drive a couple hours to get to the airport, then we had to venture into the security area with a family of five and a billion suitcases. This, of course allowed us to bypass the normal security lanes and meander over to "the family and special liquids" lane.....otherwise known as the "people who are gonna take a long time" lane. And that we did. We had bin after bin of coats and shoes and laptops and carry on bags. I have to say tho, that the people behind us were very patient and that made it so much easier.

G's first time on a plane. He was very excited and did a fantastic job.

So excited in fact, that by the time we made our connecting flight and were in the midst of the long leg...this is what happened.

We made it to Oregon...finally. The kids are more than tired as we wait for G's car seat to travel down the luggage line.

We arrive at Danni's tired and hungry. And I have to say that after all the travel and frenzied airports and rental car places......seeing Danni(and of course sweet Roxy) made it all worth it. And this. Something small to many, but so meaningful to me....it warms my heart.

Oh wait. I meant this. Seeing this.

Yeah, wow, you guys must not have eaten since last week. I'd never seen 5 people inhale bowls of cereal quite so fast in my life! :-)
Glad you're here....

It's really cool to read about your visit to Oregon on both yours and Danni's blogs. Even though I've never met either one of you in person, reading your blogs makes me feel like we have been friends for a really long time. I like it a lot.

Goatgirl: You SO did not just use the "I'm just sayin'" phrase!! If it wasn't clear to me before, it is now: you'd fit in very well around here. This is quite possibly the most frequently used phrase in the house this weekend, along with major discussions on appropriate use, differences in inflection and syllable stresses, etc. Who'da thought? :-)

Sooo glad the trip out went smoothly. I was worried G would be a bear after so much travel. Hope the return home goes as smoothly.

I SO did say it. It happens to be Hubby's favorite thing to say. I think he think he can say just about anything if he follows it up with a...I'm just sayin'
And I forgot to comment on how utterly cute your children are Marcee. But they still only got 7 comments and the boots are up to 11now.

Danni: We were hungry. And that cereal was really good. Hot scones, tho, dripping with butter and rasPberry jam....well, that woulda been damn good, too. Im just sayin.

Farmer Jen: Awww....you are so sweet. We had a great time in Oregon. Do you know it only rained once the whole time we were there?

Greywolf: Ha! No papers for me this time...altho, Im pretty sure the others had some kind of time stamp to them...

inadvertentfarmer: We did have a fantastic time. And the weather couldnt have been better.

goatgirl: Tree? Nope, no tree. But lots of other pretty things. mmmmmm...scones.

I know, right? My kids should come in well above the boots. Im just sayin.

Mim: The trip was a very great time. The traveling went really well, altho it was very long and tiring. G was amazing on the plane.

Angie: Did you see the little itty bitty one? She made me shred the cheese with that one.
