Favorite things

K has been after me for quite some time to make these certain muffins that she just loves. Im pretty sure her exact words were...You always make blueberry. Why cant you make the other ones? (Please?)

So, the other morning I pulled out my trusty recipe box.

I started with some brown sugar. Really? I didnt start with brown sugar at all. I just liked the way it looked when I put it in the bowl.

I made up my muffin batter and filled the cups half full...then added some brown sugar filling.

About now is when J comes running in to the kitchen. Look, mom! Look! I was outside and look what I found for you!

Isnt it beautiful?

I took a break to give him a huge hug and to thank him, of course.

Then it was added to my small collection that began when we moved in here.

Okay, cool surprise, right? So, then I added the other half of the batter to the tops of the muffins and sprinkled the streusel on top.

Fresh from the oven.

Yummy good!

Something so simple, yet she enjoys it so much.

If you want your stone collection to really shine, wash and dry them, then paint them with Future floor finish (or another brand of clear acrylic floor finish, I use a Dollar Store brand. You will be suprised at the difference it makes in the color and clarity of the stones.
And the muffins look good just the way they are, I wouldn't try using the Future on them!
