Busy Bees

This past week I was at my great friend Danni's house. It had been a while since I was there. So, it was only right that I visit.

As always, we had a fantastic time.

We played in the snow.

We did laundry.

We painted our nails.(doesnt everyone do this right in the aisle at the store?)

We went to the car wash.

We made sourdough carrot cake.

We ate lunch on fancy place mats.(courtesy of our one and only, sugarcreekstuff)

We did the dishes.

We fed the chickens.

And we went to the feed store.

We really were quite efficient.

Sounds like a fun and busy time! You got a lot accomplished and still had time to play.

OK you guys crack me up. I can just see you standing in the store painting your nails all those colors. Oh and yes those different colors on each nail are fantastic.

Looks like a great week of fun and friendship. Just how did that sourdough carrot cake turn out? Inquirering minds want to know!

Glad you had a great time - and glad you're back! No fair talking about sourdough carrot cake and not sharing the recipe though....

Other than playing in the snow, it sounds like my kind of vacation. Love the painted nails picture.

I'm having you two to my house; my stove is sorely in need of cleaning a I just boiled Old Bay seasoning over in it.

And I have to say, I felt a kindred spirit in both of you, in the trying on polish in the store aisle. I do that all the time, and always wait to be hauled off to jail for shoplifting one nail's worth of polish that didnt' look so great on me after all.

But I waited for you to show up after work and surprise me.
I even made scones....without the raisins.

Wow, from your description, it sounds like we did an awful lot of work. No wonder I've been sleeping since you left! lol
That pic of Roxy makes her look like a little bunny hopping through the forest.
Hey - that pic of your laundry - isn't that one of those "suprises" I took secretly with your camera when you weren't looking? :-)
And just look at all that wonderful feed and grains in the back of my truck! This makes me sigh happily!! :-)

Farmer Jen: Fun, yet busy! Thats a great thing, right?

Egghead: Well, if I wanted to get technical then Id have to say that we were practically sitting on the store floor...not standing. But, Im not a technical kinda person....so what you said sounds just as good. Im glad that we made you laugh tho. Thats a good thing.

Mim: It was a great week indeed. The cake was fantastic. Really, really good. REALLY good. It turned out really, really good. Im just sayin.

basicliving@backtobasicliving.com: Hey! That cake was good, too. Yummy. I can get the recipe for you, if youd like. I bet, maybe, danni would share it with me. And then I could share it with you....

gnightgirl: I dont remember stove cleaning being on my post anywhere...

sugarcreekstuff: Yay! It was a fun time. Thats for sure. Oh, and I just cant wait. Its not a crappy goody, right?

goatgirl: Without the raisins even? Sigh.

Greywolf: I have taken a vow of silence. This happens every third trip.

farmgirl dk: That bunny comment is just what S said when he saw my post. And yes, that was one of your secret pictures.....funny that.

farm mom: She always starts it. Im just sayin.

IF: Wait. Are you saying that we're mundane?

You aren't hard to entertain are you? That's the cool thing about friends, you don't have to 'entertain' them---just hanging out is cool enough.
