Im pretty sure you have seen this truck and trailer before. Yep. Its the Critter Farm truck and the infamous traveling trailer. You know....The trailer that brings sweet, tug at your heartstrings kinda critters right to your doorstep.
Even Darby rushes over to see whats gonna happen next.
Danni jumps out to direct the trailer to just the right spot.
You have to know whats in there, right? What have I been dreaming of having for such a very long time now?
Swoon. Yep, youre right. Llamas. (And even 2 more spools for my goat babies!!!) Please welcome Dolly and Toni to my farm. After lots and lots and lots of thinking and talking and more thinking, it was decided that Kai would stay behind at Critter Farm. She has an important job there watching over the goat boys. And she takes it very seriously.
It was a long trip for the llamas and for the driving crew. Danni gives sweet words of encouragement to Toni to let her know that she did such a good job after traveling on such a long trip.
While discussions were had over this and that....
J and the farm dogs, Roxy and Darby, decided to relax and hang out a bit.
But soon enough we were unloaded.
And walking towards the back pasture.
Once up there, we just sorta took it easy for a little bit and let the ladies take it all in. This was a very big change after all. I mean, they are in the desert now. And thats very, very different compared to the wet climate of Oregon.
After we let them off their leads, they explored.
And it didnt take them any time at all to find a very cozy spot to settle in. Theres a nice haze of dust surrounding Toni, as she just had a really good dust bath.
Later on in the day, we decided to put some hay out for them. Silly us. They were not interested at all in that hay when they could have fresh, juicy pasture grass instead. But not to worry...the goat boys were more than happy to jump right in.
That all took place yesterday.
And now, Sunday evening, after a wonderful weekend full of friendship, laughter, good food, and high quality farm time....I have given the llama ladies some good, leafy snacks.
And tucked them in for the night.
And I am one very, very, very happy farm girl. I have llamas on my farm now. AND they were cared for and hand delivered by my very great friend. Can it *get* any better than that?

I'm glad to see that you AND the llamas are happy!
YAY! I am so thrilled for you. Llamas! You are living your dream.
So nice of Danni to share AND deliver. She is awesome!
I cant wait to read more posts about all your critters.
I love to top pic of your goat babies.
Amazing! I am sure they will fit right in! It is great that you are finally seeing one of your dreams come to life and having a friend involved along the way!
That is true friendship!
The pieces to your life in WA have all slid together so easily and seamlessly, it truly appears the stars have all aligned for you! Dolly and Toni looks so happy. It's nothing short of perfect that Danni would be caring for them and you would turn up in desperate need of a couple of llamas :) I'm smiling for you.
I am so happy for you!
Slowly but surely your farm is filling up with creatures, and they do have a way of filling up our hearts, too.
For some reason, I never saw this coming. What a wonderful surprise. There must have been hours and hours of discussion regarding this transition for both of you.
The girls have gone from one bit of heaven to another. Truly a lateral move. I'm happy for everyone involved!
What an amazing, whirlwind weekend. wow. I can't believe everything that happened in two days. How odd it is to be back home again already.
Odder yet, was looking out my back windows this morning and not seeing Dolly and Toni among the faces awaiting their breakfast. This will take some getting used to, but my heart is at ease knowing that they will receive unlimited love and the very best of care in their beautiful new home.

Congratulations! Do llamas like Peanuts??? :)
Wow. How perfect! You have llamas. And so sweet to have them delivered by Danni.
Wow, what great news! So happy for you. You've wasted no time filling up that farm, and I don't blame you one bit. I plan to do the same when the time comes!
Isn't it great how everything just falls into place when it's meant to be?
Unbelievable! I agree..."It doesn't get any better than this"!
Danni is a saint for sure!
hee hee, "Saint Danni"...
Could I be "princess" instead? :-)
